Mammogram is a radiological examination using low-dose X-ray. The examination involves taking an x-ray of each breast from the front and profile to view the entire mammary gland. This examination screens for breast cancer.
However, all breast cancers are unfortunately not detectable by mammogram. Which is where the interest lies in self physical examination.
Indeed, to enhance the sensitivity of the two techniques, radiologists in the centre almost systematically perform ultrasound as well.
